Kalliopi Vakras Architecture + Design

Kalliopi Vakras Architecture + Design is a Fitzroy based practice established at the beginning of 2009. The design focused practice’s background lies in residential architecture as well as interior design, community projects and other small scale commercial projects.

Kalliopi works closely with clients to develop a brief which responds to the unique solution that each individual project requires within the specifics of its site context. The experience of the place drives her designs and this experience is not only visual, but multi-sensory. Her design responses pay particular attention to the detailing, use of materials, experiential qualities of the space and the utilisation of natural light in an attempt to create a well considered, enjoyable, useable, poetic and environmentally friendly space.

On some larger scale projects, a collaborative team is formed with Andrea Haddad Interior Design to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to the project.
